Mike’s career in the surety industry spans 39 years, beginning in 1971, after graduating from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas with a BBA-Insurance degree. He also holds the CPCU and AFSB designations. Mike’s expertise is concentrated in contract surety. He began his career with United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company (USF&G), where, over the course of six years, he worked in Dallas, Texas, Raleigh, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. In 1977 moved back to Dallas to work for Marsh & McLennan where he remained for five years, followed by Trinity Universal Insurance Company for nine years, Universal Surety of America for ten years and, for the last nine years, SureTec Insurance Company.
Mike lives in Murphy, Texas with his wife Sandi and enjoys fishing, gardening and service projects.
