Mike brings with him 30 years of underwriting
experience with an emphasis on contract bond underwriting. His background has
been centered in companies that have all been leaders in the contract bond arena
with experience in domestic and foreign exposures and with contractors that
range from the emerging contractor to multi-national.
Mike’s introduction and initial training in the surety
industry were with USF &G and Marsh & McLennan, Inc. In 1984, Mike
became Asst. Vice President of Trinity Universal Insurance Company in Dallas,
Texas. At the time, Trinity was the largest writer of contract bond business in
Texas. In 1990, Mike joined John Knox, Jr. at USA, and later, CNA, as Vice President,
Bond Manager in its Dallas, Texas office.
Mike attended North Texas State University, where he graduated
with a BBA in Insurance. He received his CPCU designation in 1980, and was in
the first group nationwide to receive the AFSB designation.
Mike and his wife, Sandy, have two children
and two grandchildren,and live in
Garland, Texas.
