Shelly began her surety career In Oklahoma with National American Insurance Company. She later became an underwriter with Travelers in Dallas, Texas, working with the small contract division. In 2001, Shelly moved to Austin, Texas and accepted an underwriting position with Merchants Bonding Company. Prior to entering the surety industry, Shelly worked in mortgage and commercial lending with Citizens Bank in Edmond, Oklahoma. She joined SureTec in 2005 as a Senior Credit Analyst for the company’s Pre-Qualification Services Division based in Austin. In June 2010, Shelly transferred to Suretec’s Dallas office and continues with the Pre-Qualification team.
Shelly has an M.B.A. and a B.B.A. from the University of Central Oklahoma with a major in Finance. She is affiliated with the Surety Association of America, the National Association of Credit Managers and a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers.
Shelly enjoys sports, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Shelly, her two children and three dogs make their home in Frisco, Texas.
