From 2002 to 2005, Andrew was a claims investigator of The Barnett Group, a prominent investigative firm headquartered in Louisiana. His primary responsibility was as a consultant to the insurance and automotive industries on high dollar product liability cases.
In 2005, Andrew joined the SureTec Claims Department, having relocated from New Orleans to Austin after Hurricane Katrina. He helped facilitate improvement in the claims operation’s overall efficiency, streamlining the claims handling process. His claims experience and mentoring under Steve Nelson, Suretec Executive Vice President and General Counsel, helped equip Andrew for a position as a SureTec contract underwriter trainee. In 2008, he attained official designation as a contract underwriter and has since been focused on establishing relationships with Texas insurance agents, working diligently to find responsible ways to qualify their contractor clients for surety credit, and growing SureTec’s overall book of business within the small to mid-size contractor market.
Andrew, a native of Dallas, Texas, is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Georgia Beta Chapter. Andrew and his wife, Caroline, make their home in Austin, Texas.
