Ron has 30 years of underwriting experience in contract surety. He started his underwriting career in 1979 in San Diego, California with Industrial Indemnity Company. While with Industrial, he was transferred Houston, Texas as Supervising Underwriter of that office. In 1985, he was appointed Surety Manager of the San Diego office of Insurance Company of the West. There he managed the contract underwriting department with oversight of all underwriting functions of the branch for the next 17 years. He then joined Arrowhead General Insurance Agency in 2002 and started a surety general agency operation, which he ran until 2006 when he joined SureTec to run the California office. Ron’s expertise in contract and subdivision underwriting in the contract bond arena is well known throughout the industry on the West Coast.
Ron is a graduate of Pepperdine University at Malibu, California. He and his wife, Wendy, make their home in San Diego.
