For Immediate Release April 8, 2002 SureTec Makes Presentation to School Building Association Annual Meeting at The Woodlands (Austin, Texas) SureTec Information Systems, Inc's President, Steve Nelson, addressed the 2002 Annual Meeting of Southern Region The Council of Educational Facility Planners (CEFPI) this week at The Woodlands Conference Center. The topic was "Dealing with Performance & Payment Bond Sureties on Texas Public School Projects." The presentation outlined the requirements for bonds on Texas school projects, the specific requirements as to bond forms, authorize sureties, and threshold requirements for bonds. The presentation also addressed steps a school  owner could take to avoid construction disputes or to improve its chances for success in the event of a contractor default.
